Privacy Policy (English summary)

You can play without registering an email account. Guest progress is stored locally, but when online the game can create a pseudonymous Firebase guest identity; Google processes the associated technical data, including the IP address. If this service is unavailable, the game can use a local guest mode. If you voluntarily create an account, we store your e-mail address, game progress, friend code, online status and leaderboard entries via Google Firebase (Authentication and Realtime Database) to provide the game (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

The Android and iPhone apps show full-screen ads from Google AdMob after some poker tables. AdMob processes your advertising ID, device and usage data, approximate location and diagnostics. In the EEA, Switzerland and the UK we ask for your consent before the first ad (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); you can change it any time in Options → Account → “Ad privacy settings”, and reset your advertising ID in Android settings. On iPhone, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is only used if you tap “Allow” in Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, you still see ads, just without the IDFA. You can change this any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

In-app purchases (remove ads, premium figures, pets, emotes, endless tokens) are processed solely by Google Play, and on iPhone solely by Apple via the App Store (Apple Distribution International Ltd., Cork, Ireland, see Apple’s privacy policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/)); we only receive which product was bought and a transaction number, never payment details. Purchases can be restored in the app (“Restore purchases”). Optional reminders are scheduled locally on your device only; no data is sent to us or third parties. On iPhone, iOS asks for your permission first. Vibration/haptics and the Google Play or Apple review prompt process no data on our side. All fonts are bundled with the app.

Data may be processed by Google outside the EU, including the USA, based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

Steam version (PC and Steam Deck): no ads, no advertising ID, no notifications. The game runs via the Steam client of Valve Corporation, which processes its own data as an independent controller (Valve privacy policy (https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement/)). Save files are stored on your PC in %APPDATA%\FeierabendPoker in a folder named after your Steam ID; if Steam Cloud is enabled, Steam copies them to Valve's servers. DLC purchases are processed solely by Steam; the game only asks the local Steam client whether you own a DLC, and this is not sent to us. Achievements are reported to Steam.

Game Center (iPhone only): if you are signed in to Apple’s Game Center on your iPhone, the app signs you in there (Apple then shows “Welcome back”) and reports unlocked achievements and your leaderboard values (net worth, story stage, endless waves) to Game Center. If you chose “Leave the list” in the endless ranking, the app reports no leaderboard values to Game Center (values reported earlier stay there). Game Center is a service of Apple, which acts as an independent controller (Game Center & Privacy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/data/en/game-center/)). No Game Center data is sent to us. If you are not signed in, the app sends nothing to Game Center; you can sign in any time with the “Game Center” button in Achievements or Leaderboard. You can sign out in iPhone Settings → Game Center.

Account data is kept until you delete your account (Options → Account → “Delete account & data”, or by e-mail). You have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR, and may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The game is intended for adults.

Consent and non-personalised advertising

Non-personalised ads can still use device identifiers and local storage and may therefore require consent. Declining personalised ads does not automatically authorise that access. Ad delivery depends on your privacy choices, applicable requirements and the permitted serving mode. You can change your choices through the game’s ad privacy settings. Optional Google sign-in and deletion

Google sign-in may also be offered through Firebase Authentication. It uses the shared account information needed for sign-in, including email address, display name and technical user identifier. We do not receive your Google password. You can initiate deletion in Options → Account or email [email protected] from your account address without sending passwords.
