No account, no cloud
Game progress (day, coins, crafted items, decorations, album pictures from the game) and settings (language, volume, “Remove ads” status) are stored only on the device and are not accessible to us. We do not use analytics or crash reporting services. Storing your progress and settings on the device is strictly necessary for the game (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).
Ads
The app shows ads from Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited) at quiet moments, never during a minigame: one full-screen ad after a finished play day (from day three at the earliest, at most once every five minutes) and a small banner at the bottom of the screen. Every ad request is tagged as child-directed and under the age of consent, requests non-personalised ads only and is limited to the “G” (general audiences) content rating; there is no ad profiling. Google processes technical data such as device type, OS version, approximate location derived from the IP address and diagnostics to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud. In the EEA, Switzerland and the UK we ask for consent through Google’s User Messaging Platform before the first ad (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); it can be changed at any time under Settings → Privacy settings (behind the parent gate). Elsewhere, the (always non-personalised) ads are based on our legitimate interest in funding the free app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); as we are based in Germany, the GDPR applies to all processing wherever you live. Storing or reading information on your device for ads (e.g. advertising or similar identifiers) only happens with your consent (§ 25(1) German TDDDG) or where strictly necessary to deliver the ad (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).
No tracking
The app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track across apps or websites.
“Remove ads” purchase
A single one-time purchase removes all ads permanently; there are no other purchases or subscriptions. Buying and restoring are protected by a parent gate (a small sum for adults). Payment is processed by Apple via the App Store as an independent controller; we receive no payment details, only whether the purchase exists (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Restore it under Settings → Restore purchases.
Transfers, retention, rights
Google and Apple may process data outside the EU, including the USA, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Saves can be deleted in the game (Main menu → Saves → Delete) or by deleting the app. You (or parents on behalf of their children) have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR, the right to withdraw consent at any time, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Bavaria: BayLDA, Promenade 27, 91522 Ansbach, Germany).
Children
Fox & Fabric is made for children and families. We do not collect personal data ourselves. Ads are non-personalised, child-directed and rated “G”; purchases, privacy settings and links out of the game are behind a parent gate. The game is designed to meet the GDPR, COPPA and Apple’s requirements for apps for kids.
Consent and non-personalised advertising
Non-personalised ads can still use device identifiers and local storage and may therefore require consent. Declining personalised ads does not automatically authorise that access. Ad delivery depends on your privacy choices, applicable requirements and the permitted serving mode. You can change your choices through the game’s ad privacy settings.
